“I’d had a 401(k) from a past employer just kind of sitting out there for years. When I finally got around to setting an appointment and talking with the advisor, I learned about opportunities I could take advantage of, and actually made a plan for retirement instead of just hoping for the best. It was much easier than I thought, and I was really glad that I could work with an advisor right at Meridia. I was much more comfortable being in a familiar place. During our meeting, I found out I could start saving for my daughter’s college, and took care of that, too.”

Disability Insurance
Your most important asset isn’t your home, your vehicle, your boat, or your jewelry. It’s your ability to earn a living. Most people insure their possessions, but neglect to insure their health, or their ability to earn a living. Your plans for the future are made on the assumption that you’ll continue to earn a paycheck until you retire. But what happens if those paychecks stop? This is where disability insurance comes in to help. It provides an income to you and your family if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury.
There are other sources of disability income protection, including worker’s compensation, Social Security, or employer-sponsored coverage, but you cannot control those options. They may not provide the income you require. You can choose the following with an individual disability insurance policy:
1. Decide how much coverage to purchase.
2. Know when it will begin to provide coverage benefits.
3. Take it with you if you decide to change employers.
Life Insurance
There are as many life insurance solutions as there are needs. Deciding how much and what type of insurance to purchase depends on your specific needs and circumstances, which could include protection for income replacement for your family, home mortgages and equity loans, and childcare and education expenses.
LPL Financial Services advisors will work with you to determine what works best for you’re your personal situation Whatever your needs or budget, we can help you provide your family or business with the protection needed for those “What If…” situations.
